Caramel Apple Pudding Shots are perfect for your fall parties or tailgating…
So last weekend we went to our neighborhood Halloween Party. Amber, my neighbor and resident food taster here at dadwhats4dinner.com hosts this awesome party every year. She goes all out and I mean all out. I have never seen so many decorations.
Unfortunately this year we could only stay until around 10:00 because of a 6:00 am wake up call to travel to a soccer tournament. Yeah us! I think the party was still rocking when we left for the game.
Since a lot of the partier’s know what I do. I always try to come up with something new to bring. This year I made these Caramel Apple Pudding Shots. They are dangerous. They taste just like eating a caramel apple on a stick but with a nice little kick. I guess if you have ten of the pudding shots it might have more than a little kick.
This is a simple recipe to make and only takes about an hour to set up in the freezer. I served mine frozen but you could also serve them chilled. I found my little 1 oz cups with lids at Gordon Food Service (GFS). I also found the little spoons.
The spoons are not necessary because you could just squeeze the shot out of the cup and finish it off with your tongue. I guess it depends on how sophisticated your crowd is at your party. The later in the evening the less important the spoons become.
This is an easy to make adult treat perfect for a Halloween party. Mix the pudding mix and milk. Blend in your liqueurs, spices, and caramel. Fold in cool whip and pipe into 1 oz. cups. Top with caramel and nuts. As you can see my cats are ready for Halloween. I hope you are.

Hi, Quinn ~ These look delicious! I’d be happy to be your neighbor and taste tester, too. :0) I’m pinning these for later. Thanks for sharing with us at the Merry Monday Link Party! Hope to see you again on Sunday night!

Sounds like my kind of Halloween party! We didn’t have anything as fancy as your awesome caramel apple pudding shots, just the classic jello variety. But I definitely think these would have went over well 🙂 And I am all about just using my tongue as the spoon!

This is a fantastic idea, Quinn. Perfect for any party, I must say. Thank you for sharing these wonderful treats. Have a lovely weekend. 🙂

These look great Quinn! If I was a drinker I think I would devour these! I’m gonna keep these in mind for when we do our Thanksgiving this year, I have family members that will enjoy these very much!
Quinn Caudill says
Not sure how you don’t drink with 4 kids. :)) you can make them non-alcoholic but what fun is that.

To hell with the ticker, I’d love to throw back a couple of these babies. The recipe lists the chocolate pudding twice. Want to make sure I have the recipe I need before pinning, so just checking?
Quinn Caudill says
Thanks for the catch. Fixed and updated.

These sound amazing, and easy to make as well. Love it! Thanks for bringing them to the fiesta. I’m sure we’ll all love them as much as your Halloween party guests. And, I second Tiffany, I’d love to be your neighbor and test taker. Happy FF, and have a wonderful weekend. 🙂

I love this Quinn! I will be trying these at our next gala (whatever). I have resident taste testers too. Now my neighbor is complaining to my husband that he’s getting fat. Who’s fault is that? Thanks for bringing this recipe to FF!
Quinn Caudill says
Not yours if they can’t control themselves. Happy FF!

I just made these and, while they taste delicious, they’re very liquidy… the pudding mix before liquor doesn’t look like your picture. Did I get the 1.5 cups milk correct? Help! ?
Quinn Caudill says
Hi Lauren! Thanks for making my jello shots. Sorry to hear you had a problem. Did you freeze them? I will take a look at the recipe and see if I have an issue. I made Pumpkin Pie and Toffee jello pudding shots for Halloween this year and they were a huge hit. I will have them on the blog soon. I will let you know on the recipe. Thanks again.

I plan to make these for a girl’s wkend at a cabin. If I make ahead of time & transport in a cooler of ice, do you recommend waiting until I arrive to top w peanuts so they don’t get soft?
Quinn Caudill says
I do. Nothing worse than a soggy nut!!! 🙂
