Crock Pot Irish Bread Pudding with a Irish Whiskey Hard Sauce

Are you ready to get your green on with my Crock Pot Irish Bread Pudding? But wait it gets even better because it is made in your crock pot.

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 (16-oz) French bread baguette
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup Irish whiskey
  • 1 3/4 cups 1% low-fat milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 (12-oz) can evaporated 2% milk
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Whiskey Hard Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 8 Tbsp. confectioners' sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Irish whiskey


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray crock pot with cooking spray.
  3. Brush melted butter on cut side of French bread slices. Place bread, buttered sides up, on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly toasted.
  5. Cut bread into 1/2 in. cubes, and place in crock pot.
  6. Combine whiskey and raisins in a small bowl; cover and let stand 10 minutes (do not drain).
  7. Whisk milk and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Add raisin mixture and pour over bread cubes. Stir to combine.
  8. Mix 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over pudding.
  9. Cook on low for 3 hours or until set.

Irish Whiskey Hard Sauce:

  1. Cream the butter and sugar together thoroughly.
  2. Beat in the whiskey, a little at a time, until the mixture is smooth.

Recipe Notes

-Substitute 1/4 cup apple juice for the Irish whiskey, if desired.
