30 Minute Grilled Pork Souvlaki using Smithfield® Marinated Fresh Pork Garlic Herb Filet gives you "Real Flavor Real Fast"

Ingredients

Tziatziki Sauce (Substitute store bought to speed up dinner)

  • 2 cups plain greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber seeded and chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tsp dill weed
  • tbsp Juice of 1 lemon about 3 .
  • 1/4 cup red onion chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper to taste

Pork Souvakli

  • 1 lb Smithfield® Marinated Fresh Pork Garlic Herb Filet cubed, 1 1/2-2
  • 4 roma tomatos quartered
  • 1 red onion quartered
  • 1 package pita or flat bread

Instructions

  1. Light grill and heat to medium high.
  2. Make kababs alternating pork, tomato, pork, onion: Starting and ending with onions.
  3. (Cooking Tip: Line a baking dish with plastic wrap.)
  4. Place kababs in prepared baking dish and take to grill.
  5. Place kababs on hot grill.
  6. Grill for 15 minutes turning once until pork reaches 155° F.
  7. Remove plastic wrap and use baking dish for cooked Kababs.

Tziatziki Sauce

  1. Can be made the night before if not substitute store bought.
  2. Salt cucumber and drain for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Add all ingredients to food processor.
  4. Process until smooth.
  5. Chill for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  6. Place cooked pork, onions and tomatoes in flat bread.
  7. Top with Tziatziki Sauce and some fresh dill.
