Spicy Beer Bratwurst Sliders combines three classic tailgating foods: Beer, Bratwurst and Hamburgers in a little slider that packs a nice spicy kick.

Spicy Beer Bratwurst Sliders and Homegating Tips

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs. beer bratwurst, casing removed
  • 1.5 lbs. ground chuck. 80/20 blend
  • 6 tbsp. minced dehydrated onions
  • 2 tbsp. El Yucateco® Red Chile Habanero, divided
  • 1 tbsp. El Yucateco® Chipotle
  • 2 tsp. seasoning salt
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 12 slices white American cheese.
  • 24 slider buns or split dinner rolls
  • Condiments to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°
  2. Make spicy mayo by combining 1/2 cup mayo and 1 tablespoon El Yucateco® Red Chile Habanero sauce. Set aside in fridge until ready to use.
  3. Place beer bratwurst and ground chuck in large bowl top. Add El Yucateco® Red Chile Habanero, 1 tablespoon El Yucateco® Chipotle and 2 tablespoons minced onions.
  4. Use hands to combine evenly but do not over handle.
  5. Spread remaining onions evenly on a large cookie sheet or half sheet pan.
  6. Evenly spread and press down meat mixture over onions. (This can be prepared ahead of time. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.)
  7. Cook sliders in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Meat will shrink up.
  8. Remove from oven and drain excess grease.
  9. Cover meat with cheese and placer back in oven until cheese melts.
  10. Cut spicy beer bratwurst sliders into 24 squares.
  11. Spread spicy mayo on buns and top with pickles
  12. Serve immediately.
