Grilled Cherry Dump Cake

  • 1 (21 oz) can Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1 (15 oz) can Pineapple tidbits, with juice
  • 1 (15.25 oz) Duncan Hines® Butter Golden or Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, sliced into small pieces


  1. Heat your grill to 350°F. Grease a cast iron skillet with oil. Dump in the cherry pie filling and pineapple tidbits with the juices.

  2. Stir together and then sprinkle with the yellow cake mix. Top the cake mix with butter.  
  3. Place the cake on the grill and bake on indirect heat for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, until the top of the cake is golden brown.
  4. Serve warm with ice cream.
